Advertising Resolution and Landscape Act.

In today's dynamically changing world, where urbanization is progressing at a dizzying pace, the question of the role of beauty in urban space is increasingly being asked. Is the aesthetics of a city just a matter of taste, or does it have a real impact on the quality of life of its inhabitants? The participants of the seminar "Talking about beauty in the city" tried to answer these and many other questions.

The event brought together experts in urban planning, architecture and public art. Speakers included urban artist and designer Krzysztof Gieleciak and prof. dr hab. Ernest Zawada , who attempted to analyze the meaning of beauty in the urban context. The discussion concerned not only the need for aesthetics, but also problems related to shaping public space, including the impact of the advertising resolution and the landscape act on the appearance of modern cities.

Beauty, although seemingly not necessary for functioning, turns out to be a key element influencing the well-being of residents. Well-thought-out urban planning, architectural harmony and attention to architectural details make urban space friendly and conducive to building a local identity. Unfortunately, problems resulting from uncontrolled advertising and chaotic development often disrupt this balance, which is why it is necessary to implement regulations aimed at protecting the aesthetics of cities.

The discussion during the seminar clearly showed that the need for beauty in the city is more than just luxury – it is an element that affects the quality of life, shapes social relations and builds a sense of community. Modern cities, in order to be friendly to their residents, must combine functionality with aesthetics, and conscious design of space should take into account both utilitarian and visual aspects.

The seminar "Talking about beauty in the city" has become an inspiring platform for the exchange of thoughts and experiences, reminding us that beauty in public space is not an unnecessary addition, but an important element shaping the quality of life of each of us.
